PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marshall Harrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Persson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andre Persson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marshall Harrison!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andre Persson!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Persson shoots in and bounces Harrison off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Harrison working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Persson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Persson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Harrison had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Persson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Harrison Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Persson's back instead.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Harrison is on top in guard.

Harrison has gone for a leg lock! Persson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Harrison's guard.

Harrison is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Persson is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Persson has escaped and now he's on top!

Persson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Harrison kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Persson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Persson wants to control from the top but Harrison keeps moving.

That was a close round but I would say that Marshall Harrison will probably get the nod.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Persson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Persson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Persson is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Harrison has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Persson is looking to defend but Harrison has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Persson! Harrison pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Persson taps out and this one is all over!
