Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sagat Shanti!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kelvin Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Radbod Blank and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson misses with a takedown
and Shanti counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Jackson misses with a wild body shot.
An attempted straight right counter from Shanti misses the target.
Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch but Shanti swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jackson tries for a takedown but Shanti circles away easily
and Shanti counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
A lazy left from Shanti finds it's target.
Nice sprawl there from Shanti as Jackson shoots in.
Sagat Shanti has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kelvin Jackson.
Jackson looks to score with a jab to the body but Shanti is just out of range.
Shanti swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Jackson tries to move into range but Shanti moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Jackson wants to clinch
and Shanti counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Jackson gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Jackson misses with a punch on the inside.
Still in the clinch, Shanti scores with a nice short uppercut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A head punch blocked on the inside by Shanti.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Shanti lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Shanti breaks from the clinch.
Jackson fails with the takedown
and Shanti counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Jackson looks winded!
Shanti moves into range and connects with a jab.
Jackson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
A left lands for Shanti.
Shanti connects with a body shot that sends Jackson's belly button to the back.
Shanti clobbers Jackson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Shanti keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.


Jackson is rocked!
Shanti connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Jackson's hands.
Jackson is still on wobbly legs! Can Shanti finish him?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jackson throws a predictable looking body shot
and Shanti counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Shanti engages and cracks Jackson with a massive lead left hook - Jackson tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Shanti is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Sagat Shanti!
During a confident post fight interview, Sagat Shanti thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
