Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryan Wallace!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 24 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Petey Flowers!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace looks to land a combination. Flowers sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Flowers should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
A good leg kick by Wallace.
Wallace dodges the punch combination from Flowers.
Wallace throws a head kick that Flowers semi-blocks.
Flowers throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wallace's waist but Wallace gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Flowers off to one side.
As Flowers looks to move away, Wallace throws a big counter combo but Flowers just gets out of the way.
Wallace throws a right and a left that both miss.
Wallace lands a jab-cross combination.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Flowers has eaten all the pies!
Wallace scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Ryan Wallace seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The fight stays on the outside here - Flowers looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Wallace lands with a kick to the temple. Flowers shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Flowers is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Wallace is defending well.
Wallace lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Wallace gets to his feet. Flowers looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Flowers shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Wallace defends it nicely.

Wallace moves into the clinch.
Wallace lands a hook to the side of the head.

Wallace pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Flowers looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Wallace feints and then cracks Flowers's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Flowers down.

Flowers tries to keep at a distance but Wallace has taken the fight into the clinch.

Wallace breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Flowers fails with the takedown.
Flowers shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wallace as he jumps to the side.
Wallace seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Wallace lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Flowers backs up against the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Wallace gets a clinch.
Wallace scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Wallace lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Flowers backwards.
Flowers is trying to pull guard but Wallace has him pressed against the cage.

Flowers's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Wallace fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Flowers looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Wallace lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Wallace closes the distance and pushes Flowers back into the cage.
Wallace slows down the pace here.

Wallace turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Wallace manages to end up in side control.
Wallace really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wallace landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Wallace lands some shots froms side control.

Wallace is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Flowers knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Wallace has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Wallace has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Flowers fails with the takedown

and Wallace counters by moving into the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ryan Wallace dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Wallace pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Flowers back to the cage. Wallace follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Flowers misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Flowers.
Wallace appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Flowers has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Wallace throws a series of punches but Flowers moves out of range.
Flowers feints the counter takedown.
Wallace scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Wallace shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Wallace was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Wallace thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Flowers is trying to control Wallace's posture but Wallace avoids it.

Wallace is trying to get an arm triangle but Flowers is defending well.

Flowers is rocked!
A big shot lands for Wallace! That's hurt Flowers! Will he recover? Wallace fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ryan Wallace!
A very excited looking Ryan Wallace made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
