Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Peter Heart (ranked 914 p4p, 100 weight class) and Nathan Wallace (ranked 229 p4p, 19 weight class). Heart comes to the cage accompanied by Eric Church - Record Year. Nathan Wallace has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Peter Heart! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nathan Wallace! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Jonathan Paton and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Heart misses with a wild combination.
Heart looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Wallace misses with a wild combination.
Wallace keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Heart. Wallace uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Heart.
Wallace is trying to counter with his kicks. Wallace defending well as Heart loads up on a big left hand. Heart throws a left and a right that both miss
and Wallace counters with a stiff right hand. Heart throws a nice looking combination but Wallace bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Wallace turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A looping hook to the body misses from Heart. Wallace does a little dance to reset his feet. Heart takes one to the side of the head.
Wallace moves in looking to clinch but Heart pushes him off. Heart lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Wallace circles away quickly and effectively. Wallace is looking to slow Heart down with leg kicks.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wallace lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Wallace fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Wallace bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Heart's head backwards.
Heart is rocked! Heart lands a nice hook to Wallace's body. Wallace takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. An inside leg kick lands from Wallace. Heart scores with a three punch combo!
Heart throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Wallace on the side of the head. Wallace is looking to slow Heart down with leg kicks. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Wallace feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Heart's calf. Heart missing with a left hand there. Wallace was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Heart slips a jab from Wallace. Heart swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Heart waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Wallace. Wallace counters with a body kick. Wallace feints and then cracks Heart's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Heart down.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Heart throws a big shot that misses. Heart throws a hook to the side of Wallace's head but Wallace sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Heart chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Wallace can pounce on him.
A looping hook to the body misses from Wallace. Heart does a little dance to reset his feet. Wallace has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight. Wallace showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Heart.
Heart has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Wallace. Heart takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Wallace dips to his left and cracks Heart with an uppercut! Sloppy strikes from Heart. Those never looked like landing. Heart tries to bum rush Wallace with a series of wild strikes but Wallace uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Wallace appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Wallace tests Heart's chin there with a solid looking shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Good exchange - Wallace coming out on top. Wallace instigates a clinch. Wallace will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Heart up against the cage. Wallace breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Wallace uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Heart.
Wallace only half commits to the counter leg kick. Wallace pushes Heart away with a front kick. Wallace lands with a straight right. Heart didn't see that one coming. Wallace is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Heart had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Wallace moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Wallace connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Heart momentarily.
Heart falls off balance throwing a combination
and Wallace counters with a left right combination that sends Heart crashing to the mat - Wallace wastes no time in diving on top of him and pounding Heart out for a TKO! Devastating finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nathan Wallace! Nathan Wallace retains his featherweight title! After winning the bout, Nathan Wallace thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility. Peter Heart was interviewed post fight and said 'Fuck this! Let's do it again.'.
