Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Graham Conrad! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Aleksandr Kolokorin! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Richard Clark and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kolokorin fails with a takedown attempt. Kolokorin tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Conrad manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Conrad uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kolokorin. A punch combination from Kolokorin misses. Aleksandr Kolokorin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kolokorin lands a big head kick that sends Conrad tumbling to the mat! Kolokorin takes a step backwards and waves Conrad back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Graham Conrad has been cut. Kolokorin shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Conrad defends it nicely. Conrad is looking to counter with head kicks. Kolokorin gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Conrad counters with a nice uppercut. Graham Conrad has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aleksandr Kolokorin.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kolokorin closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Conrad did well to prevent Kolokorin getting side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Conrad regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Kolokorin. Conrad throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Conrad wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Conrad wants to sweep but no luck. Conrad throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Kolokorin tries to free his leg and advance position but Conrad is retaining full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Conrad controls Kolokorin momentarily but Kolokorin frees himself. Kolokorin showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Kolokorin is pushing down on Conrad's leg trying to pass to half guard. Conrad is fighting to maintain full guard but Kolokorin has managed to sneak the leg through. Kolokorin is looking for a kimura here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kolokorin is looking for a kimura but Conrad is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kolokorin to get the leverage. Conrad throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Kolokorin is looking to take a break and control but Conrad is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Conrad showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kolokorin.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kolokorin slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Kolokorin fails with the takedown. Conrad moves away from the strike by Kolokorin. It looked like Conrad was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Kolokorin tries to close the distance and clinch up but Conrad swats him away and circles back towards the center. A right-left combo lands from Kolokorin. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kolokorin tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Conrad defends well and Kolokorin ends up having to push Conrad into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Conrad wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Kolokorin looks winded! Kolokorin misses with a takedown attempt - Conrad sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Aleksandr Kolokorin dominated that round. The cut man is working on Graham Conrad's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Conrad is looking for a counter combo. Kolokorin with a lazy takedown attempt and Conrad holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Kolokorin wants to break free but Conrad has control.
Kolokorin tries to circle away but Conrad has him pinned against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kolokorin wants to break free but Conrad has control.

Kolokorin tries to pull guard but Conrad forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Kolokorin has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Kolokorin is breathing heavily. Conrad looking for a takedown. Conrad wants the takedown. Kolokorin is fighting it off but Conrad persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Kolokorin's guard against the cage. Conrad with a nice head shot there. Conrad scoring with punches to the head and body. Conrad stands up from Kolokorin's guard - Conrad perhaps looking for a knockout. Kolokorin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Conrad manages to avoid it. Conrad seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Kolokorin shoots in looking for a takedown but Conrad manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kolokorin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kolokorin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kolokorin is looking to take this fight into the clinch. It looked like Conrad was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Kolokorin tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Conrad defends well and Kolokorin ends up having to push Conrad into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Kolokorin drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Conrad throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land. Kolokorin trying to control the position but Conrad is working away. Conrad is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Conrad is positioning himself well to prevent Kolokorin advancing to mount. Conrad looking for submissions off his back. Kolokorin throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Kolokorin controlling the action here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Kolokorin is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Graham Conrad is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. No luck with that takedown attempt from Kolokorin. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Graham Conrad will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Graham Conrad's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
A telegraphed right hand from Kolokorin misses the target. Kolokorin dives in for a single leg takedown but Conrad sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Conrad throws a big counter combination but Kolokorin scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Kolokorin misses with a body shot.
Conrad is looking to counter with head kicks. Conrad tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Kolokorin doesn't succeed with the takedown and Conrad counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Conrad. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Conrad turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Conrad in side control lands a decent elbow. Conrad working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Conrad has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Kolokorin takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Kolokorin shoots in looking for a takedown. Conrad tries to sprawl out of it but Kolokorin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Conrad manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Graham Conrad has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aleksandr Kolokorin. Conrad tries for a takedown but Kolokorin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Kolokorin unleashes a big counter combination but Conrad bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Conrad scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Aleksandr Kolokorin has got the better of the ground game so far. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Conrad connects with a nice short shot to Kolokorin's temple.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Conrad looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Conrad is looking to work some ground and pound but Kolokorin has wrist control. Kolokorin looking to control.
Conrad drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kolokorin dives on top into guard. Conrad keeping moving, preventing Kolokorin from controlling successfully. Conrad is pulling down on Kolokorin's head. It's preventing any offense from Kolokorin, at least for the moment. Kolokorin trying to control the position from guard on top but Conrad is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Conrad is trying to keep Kolokorin in close.
