Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Murphy (ranked 7102 p4p, 478 weight class) and Donald Markham (ranked 22426 p4p, 566 weight class). Murphy kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Battering Ram - 'Come Out and Fight' Irish Folk. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Markham throws a right and a left that both miss.
Markham tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Murphy swivels and escapes.
We've been informed that Markham has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

After the fight, Daniel Murphy was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
