Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ray Mancini (ranked 1676 p4p, 230 weight class) and Dominic Trujillo (ranked 1978 p4p, 271 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ray Mancini!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dominic Trujillo!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Andrew Berry and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trujillo chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Mancini paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Trujillo misses with an uppercut. Mancini saw that one coming.
Trujillo throws an overhand right that lands on Mancini's shoulder, as Mancini tries to avoid the shot.
Trujillo stuffs the takedown attempt from Mancini. Mancini gets slowly back to his feet.
Mancini lands a nice looking body shot.
Trujillo throws a low kick but it's checked well by Mancini.
Mancini looks to land a combination but Trujillo avoids it well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Mancini checks a leg kick.
A swing and a miss from Mancini.
Mancini misses with a looping left.
Trujillo ducks under a wild hook from Mancini.

Mancini lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Trujillo circles away quickly and effectively.
Mancini tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Trujillo defends well and Mancini ends up having to push Trujillo into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Mancini connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Mancini bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Trujillo's head backwards.
Trujillo misses with a body shot.
Good work by Trujillo as he checks the leg kick.
Mancini listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Mancini lands a nice looking body shot.
Horrible takedown attempt by Trujillo or perhaps it was just good defense by Mancini, which made it look bad.
Mancini changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Trujillo tries to avoid it but Mancini manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Trujillo to the ground. Trujillo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ray Mancini. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mancini closes the distance and clinches up with Trujillo, looking for a takedown. Mancini pushes Trujillo against the cage but Trujillo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Mancini throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Trujillo's waist but Trujillo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mancini off to one side.
Trujillo tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Jab, jab by Trujillo - just one landing.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Trujillo dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Trujillo fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Trujillo has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Trujillo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mancini moves away.

Trujillo scores with a nice head shot.
Mancini throws a head kick that misses.
Trujillo changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Trujillo stuffs the takedown attempt from Mancini. Mancini gets slowly back to his feet.
Trujillo bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Trujillo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mancini sprawls well initially but Trujillo persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Trujillo is pressing down on Mancini's thigh, looking to free his foot. Mancini is holding on for now.
Mancini works his way to full guard. Good work.
Trujillo keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Mancini's head.
Mancini is trying to control the position but Trujillo postures up.

Mancini is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Trujillo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Trujillo keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Trujillo tries to roll over but Mancini keeps him under control.
Trujillo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mancini is working away from the top position though.
Trujillo holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Dominic Trujillo will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Trujillo lands with a right hand.

Trujillo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Mancini is looking for a sweep.
Trujillo lands a nice forearm strike.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Mancini tries to bench press Trujillo off him but Trujillo keeps the position.
Trujillo fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Trujillo is looking to take a break and control but Mancini is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ground and pound from Trujillo seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Trujillo tries to score with some ground and pound. Mancini controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Dominic Trujillo has got the better of the ground game so far.

Mancini wants to control but Trujillo postures up.

Mancini is looking to get to half guard.
Trujillo lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.


It looks like Ray Mancini has been cut.

Whack. That's a big, big shot from Trujillo! Mancini is out cold! This one is all over!
