Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thurman White (ranked 6175 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mafu Dido (ranked 6084 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Thurman White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mafu Dido!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White throws a right and a left that both miss.
Nice takedown defense from White. No joy for Dido on that attempt.
Dido misses with a takedown attempt - White sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
White throws a counter high kick but Dido was just alert enough to avoid it.
An inside leg kick from Dido misses.
White went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Dido shoots in for a takedown but White shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
White feinted with a counter takedown.
Thurman White has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mafu Dido.
Dido pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A big left from Dido misses.
White misses with a head kick.

Dido throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. White was covering up waiting for the punch and Dido finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Dido is pushing down on White's leg trying to pass to half guard. White is fighting to maintain full guard but Dido has managed to sneak the leg through.
White has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dido is working away from the top position though.
White is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Dido jumps into side control!
White can't do much from the bottom here.

Dido decides to take the fight back to the feet.

White fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dido sprawls well initially but White persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Dido keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Dido has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. White is working away from the top position though.
Dido is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but White is staying active.
White really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

White will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

White wants to control from the top but Dido keeps moving.
Dido utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
White knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dido on the ground.
White tries to stand but Dido is controlling from the bottom.
White slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

White content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Dido has locked up a guillotine! Dido's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? White is holding on here and Dido must be using up a lot of energy. White has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Dido gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
