Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Vieira (ranked 2313 p4p, 315 weight class) and Marek Koltun (ranked 1916 p4p, 260 weight class). Vieira's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Machine Gun Kelly–Till I Die. Rafael Vieira has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rafael Vieira!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 17 - 4, fighting out of Helsinki, Marek Koltun!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koltun tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Vieira was well out of range. Poor timing from Koltun.
Vieira drops down looking for a counter takedown but Koltun sprawls and moves away.
Rafael Vieira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vieira shoots in for a takedown but Koltun shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Vieira feints a jab promting Koltun to slip. Vieira then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Koltun slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Koltun looks to score with a jab to the body but Vieira is just out of range.

Vieira drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Koltun manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Vieira has Koltun in his guard.

Koltun is working for a kimura but Vieira is defending it quite comfortably.

Koltun is stalling here. Vieira is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Koltun seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Vieira has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Vieira misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Koltun tries to buck Vieira off but Vieira is having none of it.

That was a close round but I would say that Rafael Vieira will probably get the nod.

Vieira is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Koltun is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Marek Koltun showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Vieira's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!



Vieira moves into range and clinches up with Koltun.

Koltun shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Vieira as he avoids it easily.
Vieira fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Koltun on the side of the head.

Koltun is pressed up against the cage. Vieira has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Koltun down to the mat. Koltun avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

I would just about give that final round to Marek Koltun.
I think Koltun has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
