Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Asko Vilenius (ranked 3609 p4p, 389 weight class) and Hades Hug (ranked 4690 p4p, 477 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Hug's choice of entrance music: Animal I Have Become . Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hug misses with a combination
and Vilenius makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Vilenius has closed the distance and engaged Hug in a clinch.
Vilenius lands with a light punch inside.
Vilenius scores with a shot to the side of Hug's head.
Vilenius working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Hug tries to break the clinch but Vilenius is controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Hug escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
We've been told by Vilenius's head coaches at Jacks Fight Club that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Vilenius scores with a shot to the body.
Hug throws a sloppy head kick and Vilenius moves out of range easily.
Hug throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Vilenius counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Vilenius moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It looks like Hades Hug has been cut.

Hug takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Vilenius uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hug has time to react.
Vilenius fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Vilenius thuds a left hand into Hug's body.
Vilenius lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Hug up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Vilenius from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Hug's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
