Coming up we have a lightweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Danny Charles (ranked 6245 p4p, 0 weight class) and Claudio Gadelha (ranked 2165 p4p, 104 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Danny Charles! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 2 losses; Claudio Gadelha! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Gadelha fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Gadelha misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Claudio Gadelha seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Charles manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Gadelha on his heels. He has the arm isolated but Charles is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Charles is trying to escape the position but Gadelha is controlling the position. Gadelha trying to control the action but Charles is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gadelha has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Jitz MMA. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gadelha rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Charles will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Gadelha won't allow Charles to pass to mount.

Charles is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gadelha doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Charles. Charles prevents Gadelha from improving his position. Well, if Charles is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Charles seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Gadelha has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. But Gadelha takes advantage instantly and he's locked on an arm triangle! Big trouble for Charles! Oh that looks nasty! A human being's head is not meant to turn that color! Charles is out! He's gone limp! The ref steps in to break the fighters up and Gadelha celebrates the victory with the fans!
