The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emelianenko shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Waul but Waul pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Emelianenko shoots in and drives through. Waul sprawls well.
Waul goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

It looks like Fedor Emelianenko has been cut.
Waul lands a jab to Emelianenko's midsection.
Emelianenko looks gassed!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Emelianenko takes a shot right to the bread basket.
A cross from Waul lands.
No joy there for Waul, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Waul scores with a shot to the body.
Waul fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Emelianenko looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Waul cracks Emelianenko with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Waul has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Emelianenko to stand back up!

Emelianenko is rocked!
Waul fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Emelianenko square on the jaw! Damn, Emelianenko is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
