The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Sutphin gets a takedown into half guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Sutphin (2) vs (0) Abbadon Abbadon wants to improve his position but Sutphin is controlling well.
Sutphin is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Abbadon actively working from the bottom here. Abbadon is pressing down on Sutphin's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Sutphin trying to control the position from guard on top but Abbadon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sutphin is really struggling to control Abbadon but he's trying to hold on to the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Abbadon is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Sutphin has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Abbadon escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sutphin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sutphin is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Abbadon is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Abbadon doesn't defend quickly enough and Sutphin has managed to lock this one up! Can Abbadon escape?! NO! He's tapping out!
