Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gregory Baird (ranked 22932 p4p, 0 weight class) and Moremi Gosego (ranked 6200 p4p, 0 weight class). Moremi Gosego has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gregory Baird! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Moremi Gosego! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Ryoma Takatsuka and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gosego closes the distance and pushes Baird back into the cage. Gosego successfully pulls guard.
Baird drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Baird jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Gosego is trying to control the position but Baird postures up. Gosego wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Baird is now in half guard. Baird wants to control but Gosego is keeping him busy. Baird landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Gosego wants to control but Baird is keeping busy.
Baird could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gosego is positioning himself well to prevent Baird advancing to mount. Gosego wants to improve his position but Baird is controlling well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baird wants to work for an arm triangle but Gosego is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Baird is working for a kimura but Gosego is defending it quite comfortably.
Gosego pushes Baird off looking to stand but Baird dives back in and keeps control.
Baird not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Gosego misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Baird is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Gosego has hold of Baird's hands but Baird slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Baird throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Baird throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Baird has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Gosego is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Baird is trying to control. Gosego wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Gosego trying to hold on to Baird's head to control him but Baird postures up.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Baird is trying to control the action in half guard but Gosego is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Gosego closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Baird decides to pull guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Baird throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Baird controls Gosego momentarily but Gosego frees himself. Baird might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Baird has his foot on Gosego's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gosego works his way back into a safe position though. Gosego wants to control from the top but Baird keeps moving. Gosego avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Baird controlling the position. Gosego makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Gosego is stalling in the full guard. Gosego got a little sloppy there for a moment and Baird has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gosego has managed to get both his arms back between Baird's legs - danger averted. Baird controlling Gosego's posture. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! There's a bit of a scramble here and now Baird is on top in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gregory Baird dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Gosego manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Baird on his heels. He'll look to pass Baird's guard now, I'm sure. Baird manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Gregory Baird is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Baird shoots in for a takedown but Gosego shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Gosego throws a right and a left that Baird avoids nicely. Baird has Gosego up against the cage in a clinch.
Gosego looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Gosego manages to pull guard.
Baird has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gosego is proving hard to escape from.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baird is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Baird cracks Gosego with a solid left hand. Gosego looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Baird has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gosego is proving hard to escape from. Gosego is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Baird cracks Gosego with a solid left hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Baird won't allow Gosego to get back to his feet.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Gosego misses with a low kick.

Gosego darts in and clinches Baird up against the cage. Baird fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Gosego wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Baird is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Baird is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Gosego to keep the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gregory Baird. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Baird is trying to push Gosego away but Gosego has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Gosego pushes Baird back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Gosego manages to break the clinch.
Gosego throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Baird tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Gosego is in Baird's guard. Baird wriggles free and stands up. Gosego pushes Baird up against the cage in a clinch. Baird tries to break the clinch but Gosego is controlling the position. Gosego pulls guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Baird connects with a couple of short punches. Baird lands a couple of elbows. Baird won't allow Gosego to sweep him here. Baird scoring with some ground and pound. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gosego not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Baird is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Gosego can do to turn this around? Baird is looking to work some ground and pound but Gosego has wrist control. Baird wanted to stand there but Gosego had control of the position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Baird content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Baird distracts Gosego with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Gregory Baird will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Gosego clinches. Baird working hard to break the clinch. Baird looking to stall.

Baird no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Baird looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Baird had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gosego defends it easily. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Gosego thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Baird managing to control the position. Gosego is stalling in the full guard. Baird seems keen to control Gosego's posture.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Baird not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Baird keeping control of the position. Gosego is thwarting Baird's attempts to control the position. Gregory Baird overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Gosego blocks the strikes from Baird.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Gosego wants to lay and pray for a moment but Baird keeps working.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
And that's the end of the fight! Moremi Gosego comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Baird has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
