Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vincenzo Hall (ranked 7758 p4p, 642 weight class) and Ed ONeill (ranked 4347 p4p, 476 weight class). Ed ONeill will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vincenzo Hall ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ed ONeill! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Chris Saunders and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from ONeill as Hall shoots in. Hall swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by ONeill. The fighters circling - ONeill throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Ed ONeill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hall misses with a body shot.

and ONeill counters with a straight right hand. Hall swings widly with a right hand
enabling ONeill to counter with a crisp jab. Hall takes one to the chin there. ONeill pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Hall was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. ONeill dives in and scores a takedown into Hall 's guard. ONeill told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. ONeill in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hall seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. ONeill trying to control but Hall is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. ONeill slips nicely into half guard. ONeill not landing any meaningful shots this time. ONeill trying to pass the guard but Hall defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hall is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and ONeill has latched onto it... Big trouble! ONeill pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Hall is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from ONeill!
