Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tony Fry (ranked 3300 p4p, 392 weight class) and Young Blood (ranked 3662 p4p, 418 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tony Fry! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Young Blood! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Chris Saunders and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blood tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Fry swivels and escapes. Fry stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fry wants it to stay on the feet. Fry went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Blood misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. We've been told by Fry's head coaches at The Zoo that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Tony Fry has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Young Blood. Blood misses with a jab to the body
and Fry counters with a left to the body. A combination from Fry does no damage. Blood shoots in looking for a takedown. Fry tries to sprawl out of it but Blood keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fry manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Young Blood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Blood thows a leg kick but Fry checks it and Fry counters with a nice double leg into guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fry postures up and lands a big shot to Blood's brow. Fry trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Blood looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Fry scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Blood being controlled here, momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blood working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Fry doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Fry manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fry is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Blood looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Blood keeping moving, preventing Fry from controlling successfully. Blood has momentary wrist control but Fry slips an elbow through the middle. Fry throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Fry works over Blood with some ground and pound from guard. Fry lands a couple of elbows. Fry looking to pass the guard. Blood keeping moving, preventing Fry from controlling successfully. Blood is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Blood trying to keep a closed guard but Fry is proving a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fry pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Blood is keeping the position for now. Blood controls Fry momentarily but Fry frees himself. Blood throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Fry wants to control from the top but Blood keeps moving. Fry won't allow Blood to sweep him here. Fry content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Fry got a little sloppy there for a moment and Blood has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fry has managed to get both his arms back between Blood's legs - danger averted. Fry wants to control from the top but Blood keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fry accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Fry might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Fry avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Blood is rocked! Blood preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Blood throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Fry stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Blood swivels though and keeps the full guard. Fry scoring with punches to the head and body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fry postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Fry working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Fry is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Fry is in close to Blood's body, working some short punches and elbows. Blood is still in real trouble! Can Fry finish him? Fry sitting in guard here, content to control. Blood seems to have recovered his senses. Blood escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fry gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Fry lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fry got a little sloppy there for a moment and Blood has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fry has managed to get both his arms back between Blood's legs - danger averted. Fry scoring with punches to the head and body. Fry trying to control but Blood is working from the bottom. Fry is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Blood has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Fry doesn't defend quickly enough and Blood has managed to lock this one up! Can Fry escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Blood on a fantastic submission victory.
