Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rami Astalo (ranked 2246 p4p, 223 weight class) and Kantemir Khashukaev (ranked 1913 p4p, 195 weight class). Astalo comes to the cage accompanied by Limp Bizkit - Break Stuff. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kantemir Khashukaev!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Steven Brown and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Astalo throws out a leg kick but Khashukaev moves out of range and Astalo only half commits.
Khashukaev throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Astalo sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Astalo scores with a jab. Khashukaev acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Khashukaev lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Astalo throws a front kick aimed at Khashukaev's knee but Khashukaev avoids it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Kantemir Khashukaev will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Astalo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Khashukaev takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Astalo feints and then cracks Khashukaev's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Khashukaev down.

Donk. Astalo catches Khashukaev right on the button with a cross.

Astalo measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Khashukaev! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Rami Astalo!
An out of breath and clearly excited Rami Astalo thanked RAGS of a RONIN for their help and support (and free stuff they sent him).
