Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Isaias Mckinney (ranked 24307 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Scott (ranked 5687 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Scott's choice of entrance music: Back in Black. Sam Scott is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sam Scott! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Lou da Vinci and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Scott avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Scott swings away with a body shot that misses
and Mckinney decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Scott's guard. Scott wants to sweep here but Mckinney controlling him for the moment. Scott is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Mckinney is controlling him. Scott tries to land a sweep but no joy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Scott not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Scott wants to stand but Mckinney is controlling the position. Scott had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mckinney defends it easily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Scott fails with a takedown attempt. Scott misses with a takedown attempt - Mckinney sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Mckinney appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Scott avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Mckinney gets underhooks to prevent Scott's takedown attempt.

Scott is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Mckinney has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Mckinney controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Scott is on top in guard.

Sam Scott showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Mckinney drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Scott dives on top into guard. Scott postures up in Mckinney's guard and throws a big left but Mckinney blocks it. Scott postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Scott in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Scott won't allow Mckinney to sweep him here. Scott throws a big right hand that misses. Mckinney keeping full guard, as Scott tries to pass.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mckinney is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Scott pushes down on Mckinney's leg and manages to get into half guard. Scott is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Mckinney has his foot on Scott's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Scott works his way back into a safe position though. Scott working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Scott drops back, looking for a kneebar! Mckinney looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Mckinney looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Mckinney! You can see the frustration on Scott's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
