Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Foster Castaneda! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vladimir Punchsky! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Punchsky throws a leg kick that is checked and Castaneda counters with a shoot takedown. Punchsky fights it but they end up in guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Castaneda slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Punchsky really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Castaneda. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Castaneda prevents Punchsky from getting back to his feet. Castaneda decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Punchsky, up you get! A big left from Punchsky misses. Punchsky stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Punchsky wants it to stay on the feet. Castaneda really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Punchsky misses with a double jab
and Castaneda counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Castaneda controlling the pace. Punchsky is defending against the submission attempts here by Castaneda.

That's one minute gone in the round. Castaneda is thwarting Punchsky's attempts to control the position. Castaneda trying to control from half guard but Punchsky is working away. Castaneda is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Punchsky sees it coming and defends easily. Castaneda seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Castaneda is looking to advance position but Punchsky won't allow it. Castaneda is working hard here to advance position. Castaneda decides to stand and escape the position. Castaneda has his takedown stuffed and Punchsky counters with a lovely straight right hand!
It looks like Foster Castaneda has been cut. Punchsky leaves Castaneda with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Foster Castaneda. That's going to take a lot out of him. Punchsky drops Castaneda with a naaaaasty hook - Castaneda is in real trouble here! Punchsky dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
