Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Floyd Maeweather!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, John Roberts and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Maeweather has closed the distance and engaged Francis in a clinch.
Francis is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Maeweather to keep the fight standing.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Francis lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Maeweather blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Francis tries to pull guard but Maeweather holds him up against the cage and eventually Francis drops back down to his feet.

Maeweather trying to control but Francis is working from the bottom.
Maeweather throws a big elbow that misses.
Francis really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Maeweather keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Francis's head.
Francis looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Francis wants to sweep but no luck.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Francis wants to stand and escape but Maeweather is having none of it.
Maeweather throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Francis works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Maeweather is trying to push Francis away but Francis has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Francis drags the fight down to the ground.

Maeweather's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Maeweather manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Francis on his heels. He'll look to pass Francis's guard now, I'm sure.

A close round but Floyd Maeweather will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Francis wants a takedown.
Maeweather is trying to push Francis away but Francis has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Maeweather's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Maeweather closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Maeweather lands in his opponent's guard.

Francis has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Maeweather is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Maeweather slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Francis manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Maeweather manages to get himself to full guard.

Maeweather is breathing heavily.
Maeweather is trying to keep Francis in close.

Francis stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Maeweather dodges the punch combination from Francis.
Maeweather on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Francis closes this distance looking for a takedown but Maeweather circles away.
Francis throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Maeweather drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Maeweather in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Francis is trying to escape the position but Maeweather is controlling the position.

Maeweather thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Francis is not content to let Maeweather control the position.

Francis is looking to regain half guard here but Maeweather keeps moving and retains side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Francis gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Francis is not content to let Maeweather control the position.
Francis has his hands clasped together around Maeweather's back. He's all about the action.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Maeweather trying to control the action but Francis is working from the bottom.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Francis pushes Maeweather off looking to stand but Maeweather dives back in and keeps control.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Francis throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Maeweather.
Francis scoring well with a low kick there.

Maeweather shoots in and bounces Francis off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Ramiro Francis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Francis striking off his back but it's not causing Maeweather any problems.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Francis ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Francis no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Francis throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Francis is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Francis holds on and takes a little breather.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Maeweather drives through and clinches with Francis against the cage.
Francis stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Maeweather misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Francis landing knees to the body.
Francis throws a punch but it's blocked by Maeweather.

Maeweather has picked Francis up - he's going for a ride! Maeweather dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Maeweather wants to lay and pray for a moment but Francis keeps working.
Francis is looking for a sweep. Maeweather is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Maeweather thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Francis's head.

Maeweather is looking to take a break and control but Francis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Francis is trying to stand.
Maeweather slips a nice elbow through Francis's hands, connecting with Francis's forehead.
Francis is trying to get back to full guard.

I would just about give that final round to Floyd Maeweather.
I think Maeweather has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
