Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rupert Rosa (ranked 6159 p4p, 0 weight class) and Viggo Hansen (ranked 25118 p4p, 0 weight class). Hansen has chosen The Devils Bleeding Crown as his entrance music. Viggo Hansen is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rupert Rosa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Viggo Hansen! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Arvi Lind and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rosa is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Hansen's half guard. Rosa thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hansen's head. Rosa stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Hansen lands a front kick. Hansen rushes Rosa and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Hansen is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Rosa ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Rosa no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Hansen gets to his feet. Rosa looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Hansen fails to land the takedown. Hansen moves into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hansen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Hansen throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Rosa was covering up waiting for the punch and Hansen finishes the takedown easily into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rosa has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Hansen has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Rosa is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Rosa is breathing heavily. Hansen decides to pull guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hansen is on top in guard.
Hansen stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hansen has managed to clinch.
Hansen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Hansen gets in close and instigates a clinch. Hansen breaks the clinch.
Hansen moves into the clinch. Hansen wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Hansen holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Hansen misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Rosa.

Hansen thumps Rosa with a low kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hansen closes the distance and clinches. Rosa pulls guard successfully.
Hansen gets to his feet - Rosa follows without any prompting. Hansen misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hansen misses with a takedown attempt - Rosa sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Rosa moves in looking to clinch but Hansen pushes him off. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hansen is defended easily by Rosa. A quick step to the side and Rosa tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Rupert Rosa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Viggo Hansen. Hansen moves into the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rosa jumps guard and drags Hansen to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Rosa is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Hansen decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Rosa, up you get! Rosa looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hansen is fending him off so far but Rosa persists. Nope, Hansen circles away and we're back to standing. Hansen gets in close and instigates a clinch. Rosa blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Hansen lands a good knee to the midsection. Rosa won't want to take too many of those. This has been an exciting period of action! Rosa is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Hansen to keep the fight standing. Hansen manages to break the clinch.

Viggo Hansen dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Hansen clinches. Hansen tries to land knees in the clinch but Rosa avoids the damage to the body. Rosa is looking to take this one to the mat. With the fighters up against the cage, Hansen throws an elbow but misses. Hansen tries to pull guard but Rosa forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Hansen pulls Rosa into guard.
Rosa wants to control from the top but Hansen keeps moving. Rosa with a flurry of punches that miss. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hansen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rosa tries to stand but Hansen is controlling from the bottom. Hansen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rosa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hansen has Rosa pulled in close to control his posture. Rosa throwing strikes from guard but Hansen blocks nicely. Rosa wanted to stand there but Hansen had control of the position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Rosa shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hansen sprawls well. Hansen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rosa gets slowly back to his feet. Hansen is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Hansen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Rosa is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Rupert Rosa is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hansen has his takedown stuffed and Rosa counters by moving into the clinch. Rupert Rosa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Viggo Hansen. Rosa makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Rosa jumps guard and drags Hansen to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Hansen has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Rosa is working an open guard so Hansen takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Hansen clinches with his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rosa is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Hansen gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hansen lands a good knee to the midsection. Rosa won't want to take too many of those. Viggo Hansen seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. A left hand lands to the body for Hansen.
Hansen lands a nice shot to the body. Rosa takes an elbow to the temple.
It looks like Rupert Rosa has been cut. Rosa is trying to maintain a safe position but Hansen gets an underhook and turns Rosa into the cage. Hansen slowing the pace effectively. Hansen manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Rosa takes a knee to the side of the body. Rosa could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Hansen working Rosa over with knees to the body. Hansen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Rosa takes an elbow to the forehead. Hansen is working Rosa over against the cage. Hansen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Hansen has closed the distance and engaged Rosa in a clinch.

Hansen pulls guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hansen tries to land a sweep but no joy. Hansen trying to keep a closed guard but Rosa is proving a slippery customer.

Viggo Hansen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Rupert Rosa's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Hansen is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Rosa gets control of Hansen's arms and successfully pulls guard. Rosa will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Rosa is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Rosa is looking to stand up but Hansen isn't so interested in that idea. Rosa doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hansen gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Hansen clinches up against the cage. Hansen lands a nice uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hansen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Rosa tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hansen swivels and escapes. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Hansen moves into the clinch successfully.
Rosa has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Hansen regains guard immediately. Rosa trying to control but Hansen is working from the bottom. Hansen looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Rosa wants to control from the top but Hansen keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hansen controlling Rosa's posture. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Hansen tries to land a sweep but no joy. Hansen is trying to control the position but Rosa postures up. Rosa is fighting to break Hansen's control of his arms but Hansen is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rosa plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Hansen defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rosa. Viggo Hansen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hansen doesn't succeed with the takedown and Rosa counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Hansen thinking. Hansen rushes Rosa and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Rosa tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hansen smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rupert Rosa. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hansen clinches.
