Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lee Merchant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Naoki Matsuhiko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Merchant kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is DMX - Intro. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Merchant stuffs the takedown.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Merchant lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Matsuhiko has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Matsuhiko and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Matsuhiko closes the distance and clinches up with Merchant, looking for a takedown. Matsuhiko pushes Merchant against the cage but Merchant circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Lee Merchant has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Naoki Matsuhiko.
