Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jones Chinannigans (ranked 1924 p4p, 232 weight class) and Karelin Pripyat (ranked 2478 p4p, 292 weight class). The key to victory for Jones Chinannigans has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pripyat dives in for a single leg takedown but Chinannigans sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Pripyat has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Karelin Pripyat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pripyat tries to score a power double leg takedown but Chinannigans sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pripyat somewhat.

Pripyat drops back, looking for a kneebar! Chinannigans looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Chinannigans looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Chinannigans!

A determined Karelin Pripyat didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
