Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
37 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Koko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
23 - 22 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tebato Nakara! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Koko lands a head kick!
It looks like Tebato Nakara has been cut. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Nakara scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Koko taking punishment in the form of punches.
Koko is looking to regain half guard here but Nakara keeps moving and retains side control. Check out the look on Nakara's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Nakara scoring with punches and elbows. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Koko is looking for a sweep. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nakara working the ground and pound from side control. Check out the look on Nakara's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Nakara works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Koko takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Nakara working away. Nakara grinds an elbow into Koko's temple.
Koko is rocked! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nakara working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Oh Koko is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Koko wants to control but Nakara postures up. Koko tries to get back to half guard but can't. Koko seems to have got his legs back now. Nakara working the head and body with strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nakara scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Koko to see if he's OK. Koko tries to bench press Nakara off him but Nakara keeps the position. Koko is working hard here to advance position. Nakara working away. Koko takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Koko takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Nakara lands a decent elbow from side control. Koko takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Nakara scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Koko is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Nakara can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
