The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Josh West and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Willemson scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
It looks like Hiram Riggs has been cut.
Willemson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Riggs moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Willemson throws a right and a left that Riggs avoids nicely.
Riggs takes the fight into the clinch.
Riggs tries to pull guard but Willemson forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Willemson tries to circle away but Riggs has him pinned against the cage.
Riggs is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Riggs gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Riggs is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Willemson pushes Riggs off looking to stand but Riggs dives back in and keeps control.
Riggs in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Willemson tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Riggs!
