Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John Cox!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jimmy Block!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Reed Andrews and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the liver by Block. Beautiful body shot.
Cox has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Block.
Some wild striking there from Cox.
Block unleashes a big counter combination but Cox bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Cox swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Block tests Cox's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Block lands with a straight right. Cox didn't see that one coming.
Block connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Block scores with a push kick.
Block drops Cox with a beautiful combination! Cox stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Block is looking for the KO!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cox wants to clinch
and Block counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Cox is rocked!
Block lands a body shot.
Oh Cox is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sloppy strikes from Cox. Those never looked like landing.
Cox seems to have got his legs back now.
Cox is breathing heavily.
Cox has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Block finds it's way round the side to connect with Cox's head.
Block connects with a solid leg kick.
That kick from Block tenderised Cox's leg. Cox is trying to keep his angry face on.
Block lands a head shot.
Cox throws a right hand that Block ducks under and follows up with a left that Block also avoids with ease.
A countering left hand to the body from Block misses.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Block throws a nice outside leg kick.
Block lands with a thumping leg kick.
Block feints a jab and as Cox dips his head, Block unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Cox right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Cox falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Block smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Jimmy Block!
