Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Noah Owen (ranked 24869 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kai Armes (ranked 4123 p4p, 0 weight class). Noah Owen has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 1, fighting out of London, Noah Owen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kai Armes!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Steven Brown and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Owen circles away from the clinch attempt

and Owen counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Owen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Armes is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Owen jumps into side control!
Owen sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Armes is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Owen decides to stand back up. Owen steps back and let's Armes get back to his feet.
Armes fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Armes closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Armes lands in his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Armes with a flurry of punches that miss.
Armes is fighting to break Owen's control of his arms but Owen is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Owen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Armes feints and as Owen raises his hands in defense, Armes changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Owen can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Armes controls the pace.
Armes wants to stand but Owen is controlling his posture from full guard.

Armes wants to stand and escape but instead Owen has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Armes is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Owen wanted to stand there but Armes had control of the position.
Armes wants to sweep but no luck.

Armes looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Owen passes into side control.

Owen decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Owen has Armes pulled in close to control his posture.

That was a close round but I would say that Noah Owen will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Owen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Armes manages to get himself to full guard.

Armes manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Armes manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Owen on his heels. He'll look to pass Owen's guard now, I'm sure.

Armes pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Owen is keeping the position for now.
Owen is pulling down on Armes's head. It's preventing any offense from Armes, at least for the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Armes throws a right hand that Owen ducks under and follows up with a left that Owen also avoids with ease.
Owen seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Owen moves out of range of the body kick.

Armes scores with a takedown into Owen's guard.
Armes with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Armes stands and steps away. Owen gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Owen gets caught napping as Armes dives in and scores a takedown. Owen manages to retain guard.
Armes is breathing heavily.

Armes drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Armes jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Owen has control of Armes's left arm, preventing Armes from doing any damage.
Owen has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Armes wanted to stand there but Owen had control of the position.
Owen is pulling down on Armes's head. It's preventing any offense from Armes, at least for the moment.

Owen is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Armes wants to control from the top but Owen keeps moving.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Armes fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Owen sprawls well initially but Armes persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Owen is trying to maintain the position but Armes is very close to passing his half guard.

Kai Armes showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
