Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dean Poole (ranked 25141 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samuel Reko (ranked 6147 p4p, 0 weight class). Samuel Reko will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Samuel Reko!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Richard Clark and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reko closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Reko not doing much here.
Poole wants to control but Reko is keeping busy.
Well, if Reko is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Reko shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Poole manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Reko postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Reko stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Poole swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Poole wants to stand but Reko is controlling the position.

Reko throws an elbow that misses. Poole uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Reko's guard. Nice move by Poole!

Poole gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Poole shoots in but Reko avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Reko takes the fight into the clinch.
Reko pushes Poole back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Reko dodges an elbow strike from Poole.

Reko is looking to break free of the clinch but Poole has double underhooks.

Poole is trying to control but Reko manages to pass to mount!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Reko takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Reko is working for a kimura but Poole is defending it quite comfortably.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Poole is looking to control Reko's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Poole avoid being mounted?
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Reko stalling away here and it's allowed Poole to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Reko is fighting to break Poole's control of his arms but Poole is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Reko seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Well Reko has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
