Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joshua Lynch (ranked 3844 p4p, 454 weight class) and Ed Landry (ranked 3123 p4p, 380 weight class). Lynch kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Dezarie / Most High. The crowd seem to be enjoying Landry's choice of entrance music: Ride Wit Me - Nelly. Ed Landry has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Joshua Lynch's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 15 - 1, fighting out of New York, Joshua Lynch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ed Landry! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Landry rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lynch moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Lynch tests Landry's chin there with a solid looking shot. Lynch scores with a hook. Landry misses with a series of wild punches.

Landry scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Lynch throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Landry now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Lynch throws a right hand that misses
and Landry counters with a lovely straight right hand! Landry with a body punch. A glancing blow. Landry lands a really nice looking cross but Lynch seems unphased.
Ed Landry seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Landry throws a right and a left that both miss. Landry throws a wild combination but nothing lands. We've been hearing reports that Lynch has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Lynch cracks Landry with a good jab. Landry stuns Lynch with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Landry throws a left and a right that both miss
and Lynch counters with a nice uppercut. Lynch decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Landry is trying to stand up here but Lynch is controlling him well. Lynch wants to work for an arm triangle but Landry is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Lynch wants to control but Landry is keeping him busy. Landry is trying to get back to full guard. Lynch working over Landry with some ground and pound. Landry looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Landry is not content to let Lynch control the position. Landry is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Lynch's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Lynch's back! Landry is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lynch has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Landry. Landry has the hooks in. Lynch is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. This has been an exciting period of action! Landry wants to control but Lynch is keeping busy. Lynch tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Lynch is in all sorts of trouble here.

Lynch slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Lynch looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Lynch has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Landry is working away from the top position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Landry is keen to just control but Lynch is a slippery customer. Lynch trying to hold on to Landry's head to control him but Landry postures up.
Landry looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Landry thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Landry decides to stand and escape the position. Landry shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lynch defends it nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. A punch combination from Landry misses. Lynch throws a body shot but no joy. Landry fails to land the takedown. Lynch misses with a body shot.
Landry dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Landry moves out of range as Lynch strikes. Lynch throws a hook but Landry avoids it easily. Landry uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lynch.
Lynch throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Lynch drives through with a takedown into Landry's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Lynch trying to control the position from guard on top but Landry is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lynch lands a couple of digs. Lynch chips away with some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Ed Landry will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Lynch tries to clinch but Landry moves out of range. A shot to the body from Landry misses and Lynch connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Lynch fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Landry manages to avoid it. Ed Landry seems to be getting the better of the standup. Lynch fails miserably with a takedown attempt. As Lynch backs off Landry throws a huge counter combo but Lynch manages to avoid it all. Landry lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lynch circles away quickly and effectively. Landry fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Lynch has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Lynch throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Landry doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Landry slips a jab from Lynch. Lynch is looking to clinch. Landry moves out of range as Lynch throws a body kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lynch shoots in for a takedown but Landry shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Landry unleashes a big counter combination but Lynch bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Lynch throws a body punch but Landry moves out of range. Landry appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Landry throws a nice looking combination but Lynch bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Lynch bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Landry's head backwards. A jab lands there for Landry. Landry throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Lynch counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lynch feints and as Landry raises his hands in defense, Lynch changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Lynch is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Lynch trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Landry keeping moving, preventing Lynch from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lynch tries to free his leg and advance position but Landry is retaining full guard. Lynch trying to control but Landry is working from the bottom. Landry wants to sweep here but Lynch controlling him for the moment. Lynch passes into half guard. Landry is trying to stand up here but Lynch is controlling him well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lynch wants to take a breather but Landry is having none of it. Joshua Lynch overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Lynch not landing any meaningful shots this time. Lynch throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Lynch is working for a submission of some sort.
Landry wants to get back to his feet. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Lynch is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Landry tries to kick Lynch off but Lynch keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Landry throws a series of punches but Lynch moves out of range. Lynch lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Landry swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Lynch was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Landry works the jab nicely. A big left from Lynch misses. Lynch swings widly with a right hand
and Landry counters with a two punch combo. Lynch looks to throw the jab but Landry is out of range. Landry appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lynch fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Landry on the side of the head. Lynch tries to score a power double leg takedown but Landry sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lynch somewhat. Despite the aggression on Landry's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joshua Lynch. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lynch misses with a straight right. Landry misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lynch ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Landry moves away. Landry thumps Lynch with a low kick. Landry throws a series of punches but Lynch avoids them all with ease. Landry scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Landry keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Landry steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Lynch. Lynch stuns Landry with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Lynch takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
A big right from Lynch misses. Landry works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Ed Landry will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Nice shot by Landry. Horrible takedown attempt by Lynch or perhaps it was just good defense by Landry, which made it look bad. Landry throws a right and a left that Lynch avoids nicely. A punch combination from Landry misses. Landry throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Lynch swings for the body but Landry moves out of range.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Landry is trying to stand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Lynch trying to control from Landry's half guard. Landry has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Lynch wants to control from the top but Landry keeps moving. Landry wants to get back to his feet but Lynch is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Landry seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Lynch working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Landry's head. Lynch stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Landry swivels though and keeps the full guard. Lynch pushing down on Landry's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lynch is pressing down on Landry's thigh, looking to free his foot. Landry is holding on for now. Lynch wants to lay and pray for a moment but Landry keeps working. Lynch is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Lynch looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Lynch is keen to just control but Landry is a slippery customer.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Joshua Lynch has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Ed Landry is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Landry ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Landry throws a right hand that Lynch ducks under and follows up with a left that Lynch also avoids with ease. Landry throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
And that's the end of the fight! Ed Landry comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Landry winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
