Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luther Beck! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Edwin Gentry! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beck scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Beck is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Beck is working for a submission of some sort.

Gentry tries to hold on but Beck pushes him away. Beck has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Beck is working for a guillotine from mount but Gentry frees his head quite easily.
Beck lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. A nice elbow there by Beck. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This has been an exciting period of action! Beck looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Beck with a couple of short strikes. Gentry tries to hold on but Beck pushes him away. Beck pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Beck cracks Gentry with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Gentry is rocked! Beck breaks from Gentry's wrist control and lands an elbow. Gentry is still in real trouble! Can Beck finish him? Beck could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Gentry is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Beck is landing with some decent strikes but Gentry is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Gentry tries to hold on but Beck pushes him away. Beck cracks Gentry with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Luther Beck!
