The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ammond closes the distance and clinches.
Ammond tightens his grip and picks Knowles up, before dumping him to the ground. Knowles manages to land in guard.
Ammond stopping the sweep attempt from Knowles.
Ammond wants to pass the guard but Knowles is keeping the position.
Ammond controlling from the top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ammond forces his way into half guard.
Knowles is looking for a sweep. Ammond is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Ammond is pressing down on Knowles's thigh, looking to free his foot. Knowles is holding on for now.
Ammond slows the pace down in half guard.
Knowles could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Let's hope that Ammond has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Ammond is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Knowles working for a triangle but Ammond defends it easily.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Knowles is trying to keep Ammond in close.
Knowles tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Ammond is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Ammond moves into range and clinches up with Knowles.
Knowles's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ammond has managed to clinch.

Knowles manages to break the clinch.
Knowles shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Ammond looking for a triangle here. Knowles is fighting it but it looks tight! Ammond pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Knowles is tapping out - this one is all over!
