Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jewel Guerra! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jhorn Mihailov ! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Glass and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mihailov throws a sloppy head kick and Guerra moves out of range easily. Mihailov closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mihailov lands in his opponent's guard. Guerra keeping moving, preventing Mihailov from controlling successfully. Mihailov tries to free his leg and advance position but Guerra is retaining full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Guerra has Mihailov pulled in close to control his posture. Guerra keeping full guard, as Mihailov tries to pass. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mihailov is looking to work some ground and pound but Guerra has wrist control. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Guerra trying to control the position here.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Mihailov wants to clinch up but Guerra keeps it at a distance. Mihailov shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Mihailov is looking to advance position but Guerra won't allow it. Guerra could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Mihailov trying to control the action but Guerra is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mihailov performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Mihailov is thwarting Guerra's attempts to control the position. Mihailov trying to mount his opponent but Guerra defends it. Guerra keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Mihailov closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Guerra did well to prevent Mihailov getting side control. Mihailov perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Guerra controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Guerra tries to get to full guard but Mihailov has control of the leg.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Guerra is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Mihailov 's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Mihailov 's back! Mihailov is trying to stand back up. Guerra lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Guerra.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Guerra controls the action. Guerra scores with punches and elbows. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jhorn Mihailov dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Guerra closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Guerra in the domination position with Mihailov hanging on. Guerra working the head with strikes. Mihailov taking a bit of punishment here - Guerra scoring with strikes. Mihailov gets back to half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Guerra lands a nice short elbow. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Guerra lands a big shot. That's one minute gone in the round. Mihailov has hold of Guerra's hands but Guerra slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Guerra content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Guerra looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Mihailov has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Guerra is on him like a limpet, forcing Mihailov back against the cage. Mihailov has Guerra pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Mihailov pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Guerra tumbling to the mat - Mihailov dives into Guerra's guard. Jhorn Mihailov has got the better of the ground game so far. Guerra looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mihailov is one step ahead there. Mihailov sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Guerra bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mihailov 's guard. Guerra is looking to stand up but Mihailov won't let him. Guerra stands up over Mihailov , holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Guerra trying to stand up but can't free himself from Mihailov 's guard. Mihailov wants to sweep but no luck.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Guerra drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Guerra jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Mihailov is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Mihailov is breathing heavily. Guerra postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Guerra drops back for a leg! Guerra is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jewel Guerra dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Mihailov is looking to clinch. Guerra drops down looking for a counter takedown but Mihailov sprawls and moves away. A head kick misses from Mihailov . Guerra tries to keep at a distance but Mihailov has taken the fight into the clinch. Mihailov using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Mihailov gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Guerra makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Guerra. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mihailov is fighting to break Guerra's control of his arms but Guerra is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Mihailov takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Guerra tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mihailov slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Mihailov wants to stand but Guerra is controlling his posture from full guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Guerra is on top in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Mihailov looking to hit a scissor sweep but Guerra is one step ahead there. Guerra has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Mihailov is proving hard to escape from. Guerra with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Guerra wanted to stand there but Mihailov had control of the position. Mihailov is looking for a triangle but Guerra pushes his legs off easily.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Guerra is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mihailov is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Guerra controls from within his opponent's guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Guerra works Mihailov 's body with a nice hook. Guerra has taken the fight to the clinch.
Guerra letting Mihailov take a breather here. Guerra drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Mihailov gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Guerra has picked Mihailov up - he's going for a ride! Guerra dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Guerra is working for a submission of some sort.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jewel Guerra. I think Guerra has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
