Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jean Du Pont (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Sheen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sheen has chosen Mighty Ducks as his entrance music. Jean Du Pont could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Marcus Sheen's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Jean Du Pont! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marcus Sheen! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Du Pont fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Sheen catches Du Pont with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Sheen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Du Pont manages to avoid it. Sheen cracks Du Pont with a right hand to the side of the head. Sheen cracks Du Pont with a right hand to the side of the head. Du Pont takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Sheen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Du Pont sees it coming and avoids it easily. Du Pont tries to clinch but Sheen moves out of range. Du Pont closes the distance and clinches up with Sheen, looking for a takedown. Du Pont pushes Sheen against the cage but Sheen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Sheen stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jean Du Pont. That's going to take a lot out of him. Du Pont shoots in and bounces Sheen off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Sheen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Du Pont gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Sheen has Du Pont pulled in close to control his posture. Du Pont trying to control the position from guard on top but Sheen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sheen is looking for a triangle but Du Pont pushes his legs off easily.
Du Pont wants to control from the top but Sheen keeps moving. Sheen looking to hit a scissor sweep but Du Pont is one step ahead there. Du Pont wants to control from the top but Sheen keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sheen is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Du Pont trying to control but Sheen postures up.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sheen connects with a nice short shot to Du Pont's temple. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sheen prevents Du Pont from standing back up.
Sheen throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Sheen is looking for a kimura here.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Du Pont wants to improve his position but Sheen is controlling well.
Du Pont looks like he's trying to stand up.
Sheen is keen to just control but Du Pont is a slippery customer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sheen thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Du Pont's head. Du Pont makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Du Pont. Sheen working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Du Pont trying to keep a closed guard but Sheen is proving a slippery customer.
Du Pont escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sheen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Du Pont looking for a guillotine here but Sheen defends easily.
Du Pont is breathing heavily. Du Pont keeping moving, preventing Sheen from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Du Pont keeping full guard, as Sheen tries to pass. Du Pont working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sheen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sheen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Sheen working some strikes from top position. Sheen trying to control the position from guard on top but Du Pont is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Du Pont has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sheen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Sheen works a leg free and moves into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marcus Sheen dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Du Pont closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sheen to the mat! Sheen manages to get full guard. Du Pont trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Sheen is looking for a triangle but Du Pont pushes his legs off easily.
Sheen lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Du Pont! Du Pont tries to reverse the position but Sheen maintains control. Sheen lands a big elbow. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Sheen cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Sheen is looking to work his way around to Du Pont's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position. Du Pont wants to control but Sheen is having none of it. Sheen looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Sheen is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sheen is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Du Pont has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Du Pont is trying desperately to improve position. Sheen trying to control but he's not successful this time. Du Pont is trying to escape the mount.
Sheen jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Du Pont is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Du Pont and Sheen has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Du Pont regains half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Du Pont is trying to control but can't.
Sheen is working for a submission of some sort.
Sheen is thwarting Du Pont's attempts to control the position. Du Pont slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Du Pont is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Du Pont had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Sheen is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Du Pont Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Sheen's back instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Du Pont keeps control of the position as Sheen tries to break free.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Du Pont's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Du Pont is persistently looking for the submission but Sheen is defending it well.
Du Pont avoiding Sheen 's attempts to control his hands. Du Pont is riding his opponent, not letting Sheen buck him off. Sheen tries to break free.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Du Pont wants to control but Sheen is keeping busy. Sheen tries to roll but Du Pont sticks to his back.
Sheen is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Du Pont gets his way!

Sheen advances to half guard. Sheen is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Du Pont doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Sheen. Du Pont wants to improve his position but Sheen is controlling well.

Jean Du Pont dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Sheen looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Sheen misses with a wild body shot. Sheen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Du Pont manages to avoid it. Du Pont changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sheen tries to avoid it but Du Pont manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sheen to the ground. Sheen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Du Pont uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Sheen. Sheen lands with a shot to the body. Du Pont feints and as Sheen raises his hands in defense, Du Pont changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Du Pont trying to control but Sheen is working from the bottom. Du Pont stands and steps away. Sheen gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Sheen lands a lovely overhand right. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Du Pont closes the distance and clinches. Du Pont tries to pull guard but Sheen holds him up against the cage and eventually Du Pont drops back down to his feet.
Sheen gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Du Pont.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jean Du Pont. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sheen is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Du Pont pulls him back up using the underhooks. Du Pont is stalling here.
Sheen goes for a takedown in the clinch but Du Pont prevents it.
Sheen has had enough of the clinch but Du Pont keeps him there for the moment. Du Pont jumps guard but Sheen stands there with Du Pont around his waist. Du Pont gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Sheen is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Sheen drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sheen jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Sheen trying to control but Du Pont is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Sheen is fighting to break Du Pont's control of his arms but Du Pont is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Du Pont is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Sheen throwing strikes but missing. Du Pont is looking for a triangle but Sheen pushes his legs off easily.
Du Pont preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Du Pont controls Sheen momentarily but Sheen frees himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Du Pont can't keep his opponent in guard - Sheen advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Du Pont tries to kick Sheen off but Sheen keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Sheen seems to be working for a kimura but Du Pont defends the submission attempt. Du Pont wants to get back to his feet.
Du Pont has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sheen is working away from the top position though. Sheen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Du Pont keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Sheen stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Du Pont to get to his feet. Du Pont shoots in for a double leg but Sheen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Sheen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sheen goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Sheen keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Sheen scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Nice body punch from Sheen. Du Pont needs to keep his hands up - Sheen had a free shot at his head there. Sheen looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Du Pont has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sheen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jean Du Pont. I think Du Pont has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
