Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Houston Glass (ranked 7982 p4p, 0 weight class) and Micro Punch (ranked 4099 p4p, 0 weight class). Houston Glass has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Houston Glass! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Micro Punch! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Punch gets a double leg takedown into Glass's guard. Punch wants to pass the guard but Glass is keeping the position. Glass is adopting a defensive guard. Punch wants to stand but Glass has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Punch in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Punch must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Glass pulls Punch in to control the position. Glass keeping moving, preventing Punch from controlling successfully. Glass trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Punch closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Glass tries to pull guard but Punch holds him up against the cage and eventually Glass drops back down to his feet.
Glass prevents Punch from breaking the clinch. Punch turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Punch manages to end up in side control. Punch throws a strike aimed at the side of Glass's head but Glass avoids it well. Glass controls the position for a moment. Glass throws a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Glass is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Punch is looking to take a break and control but Glass is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Glass slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Glass is on top in guard.
Punch wants to sweep here but Glass controlling him for the moment. Glass wanted to stand there but Punch had control of the position. Punch can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Glass controls the pace. Glass postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Glass might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Glass won't allow Punch to sweep him here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Glass trying to stand up but can't free himself from Punch's guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Punch can do anything to dispel that myth. Glass is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. The fight moves into the clinch position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Glass fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Punch gets control of Glass's arms and successfully pulls guard. Punch will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Punch looks winded! Glass slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Glass wants to get up but he can't break Punch's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Glass stands up from Punch's guard - Glass perhaps looking for a knockout. Punch fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Glass sprawls well initially but Punch persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Glass makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Glass. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Micro Punch will probably get the nod. That's time! Glass's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Punch bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Glass regains half guard. Glass regains full guard. Nicely done. Glass bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Punch's guard. Glass is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Glass thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Punch being controlled here, momentarily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Glass gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Punch is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Glass feints and as Punch raises his hands in defense, Glass changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Glass has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Punch is proving hard to escape from. Glass stands up and waves to Punch to follow him. Punch tries to clinch up and Glass counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Punch! Glass is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Punch has escaped the position, nice work there. Glass just content to control the position. Houston Glass overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Glass working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. This has been an exciting period of action! Glass remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Glass stands up. Glass is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Punch can do to turn this around? A momentary lapse in concentration from Glass enables Punch to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Glass manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Glass trying to control the position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Glass is on top in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Punch can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Glass controls the pace. Glass decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Punch, up you get! A telegraphed right hand from Glass misses the target. Glass lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Punch circles away quickly and effectively. Punch dodges the punch combination from Glass.
Micro Punch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Punch scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Houston Glass dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Punch tries to clinch but Glass is having none of it. Punch gets a double leg takedown into Glass's guard. Glass could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Punch wants to pass the guard but Glass is keeping the position. Glass lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Glass stands up and waves to Punch to follow him. Punch looks for the body kick but Glass saw that one coming. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Punch throws a low kick, looking for Glass's leg but Glass calmly moves out of range. Glass swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Punch takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Punch tries to close the distance and clinch but Glass swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Glass shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Glass shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Punch manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Glass gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Punch scores with a three punch combo!
Punch tries to clinch up. Glass throws a head kick that misses. Glass rushes Punch and presses him up against the cage. Glass has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Punch uses from the top position. Glass is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Punch is controlling him.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Glass stands up from Punch's guard - Glass perhaps looking for a knockout. Punch feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Glass is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Punch presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Glass is trying to pull guard but Punch has him pressed against the cage. Glass pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Glass fails to land the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Houston Glass. That's going to take a lot out of him. Glass gets a takedown into half guard. Glass is trying for a kimura here. Punch looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Glass wins by kimura!
