Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Smashuel Adams (ranked 8189 p4p, 539 weight class) and Simon Jensen (ranked 3060 p4p, 308 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Jensen's choice of entrance music: Imagine Dragons - On Top of the World. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jensen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Adams swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Adams fails with a takedown attempt.
Jensen darts in and clinches Adams up against the cage.
Adams tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jensen just stands there and leans against the cage.
Adams tries for a takedown. No joy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Smashuel Adams. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jensen turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Adams tries to improve position but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Adams is trying to escape the position but Jensen is controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Adams tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jensen wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The referee asks Jensen politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Jensen prefers to stall for the moment though.
Adams is looking for a sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jensen is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Adams looks calm but he's in trouble here. Jensen gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Adams is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Jensen lets go of the hold and Adams can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Simon Jensen!
