Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Parts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Poulain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). David Poulain is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, David Poulain!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parts shoots for a double leg takedown but Poulain sprawls well. He's pushed Parts's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Poulain looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Poulain closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Parts to the mat! Parts manages to get full guard.

Parts swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Poulain checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Parts decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Poulain is staying active underneath Parts, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Poulain working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Parts doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Parts manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Poulain swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Parts is now in Poulain's guard. A big mistake from Poulain there, giving up the dominant position!
Parts has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Poulain escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Parts gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
