Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Teddy Gates (ranked 6937 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sledge Harrison (ranked 6002 p4p, 0 weight class). Sledge Harrison is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Teddy Gates! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sledge Harrison! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Arvi Lind and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Harrison looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Harrison throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Gates was covering up waiting for the punch and Harrison finishes the takedown easily into guard. Gates pushes Harrison off and scrambles back to his feet.
Gates could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Gates swats away the attempt to clinch by Harrison. As Harrison tries to get set, Gates tries to push him back and clinch up but Harrison manages to avoid the attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Harrison doesn't manage to clinch there - Gates circles away.
Harrison closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Gates's guard. Gates wants to sweep but no luck. Gates working for a triangle but Harrison defends it easily.
Gates might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gates had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Harrison defends it easily. Gates is looking for a triangle but Harrison pushes his legs off easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Harrison wanted to stand there but Gates had control of the position. Gates working for submissions but it's allowed Harrison to get to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Harrison escapes and gets back to his feet. Harrison gets a clinch. Harrison is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Gates is defending well for now. Harrison utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Gates is breathing heavily. Gates is trying to break the clinch but Harrison has him pressed against the cage. Harrison tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

It looks like Teddy Gates has been cut. Harrison landing knees to the head.

Harrison has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Gates is trying to keep an underhook but Harrison manages to get the takedown into half guard. Harrison drops an elbow to the side of Gates's head. Harrison with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Gates is looking to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Harrison decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Harrison shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Gates napping and manages to drive through into side control! Gates bucks up and tries to throw Harrison off but instead Harrison has got his back! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Harrison has the hooks in. Gates is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Harrison has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Gates's body.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Harrison controlling well, preventing Gates from escaping the position.

Harrison just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Gates is keeping busy.
Gates tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Harrison gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Harrison fails in his attempt to clinch. Gates tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Harrison manages to circle out of the way. Sledge Harrison seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Harrison shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Harrison showed some decent athleticism there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sledge Harrison dominated that round. The cut man is working on Teddy Gates's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

As Harrison tries to get set, Gates tries to push him back and clinch up but Harrison manages to avoid the attempt. Gates keeps the fight on the outside. Teddy Gates is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Harrison fails with an attempt to clinch.
Gates scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Sledge Harrison has got the better of the ground game so far. Harrison is looking to improve his position.
Ground and pound from Gates. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Harrison regains full guard. Nicely done. Gates working some strikes from top position. Gates postures up and lands a big shot to Harrison's brow. Harrison avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Harrison is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Harrison is breathing heavily. Harrison looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Gates puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Harrison is defending against the submission attempts here by Gates.

Gates is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Harrison sees it coming and defends easily. Ground and pound from Gates. The fighters are battling for position here. Harrison manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Gates landing with the ground and pound. Harrison controls Gates momentarily but Gates frees himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Harrison manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gates manages to get himself to full guard.
Gates has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Harrison should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Gates has tightened it up now! Harrison should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
