Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valentine closes this distance looking for a takedown but Maki circles away.
Valentine tries to land a body kick
and Maki counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Valentine clinches.
Maki breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Maki moves into range and clinches up with Valentine.
Maki lands with a right to the head.

Valentine's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Maki goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Valentine drags the fight down to the ground.

Valentine manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Maki manages to get himself to full guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Maki looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Valentine passes into half guard.
Valentine slows the pace down in half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Valentine connects with a nice short shot to Maki's temple.
Maki is trying to control Valentine's posture. Valentine takes advantage of the lull and advances to side control. He also appears to have an arm triangle here! Uh oh, big trouble for Maki! Valentine is rotating here... this could be the end... Maki is out! Valentine has ended this one emphatically! Great submission!
