With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Austin Gunnar!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Page fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gunnar avoids it really well and circles away.
Gunnar changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Page looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gunnar is fending him off so far but Page persists. Nope, Gunnar circles away and we're back to standing.

Gunnar shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gunnar wants to free his trapped foot but Page is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Page desperately trying to maintain half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Gunnar throws an elbow that misses. Page uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Gunnar's guard. Nice move by Page!

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gunnar can do anything to dispel that myth.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Gunnar looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Gunnar is stalling here. Page is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Gunnar seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Page has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

That was a close round but I would say that David Page will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Page is landing with some decent strikes but Gunnar is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Gunnar shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Gunnar was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Page, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
