The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murakami misses with a takedown
and Hawtry counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Hawtry takes the fight into the clinch.
Hawtry lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Murakami is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Hawtry cracks Murakami with a nice body shot.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Murakami drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Hawtry gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Still in the clinch, Hawtry scores with a nice short uppercut.
Hawtry works on Murakami's body with a couple of short punches.
A nice right hand lands inside from Hawtry.

Hawtry turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Hawtry manages to end up in side control.
Murakami might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Hawtry has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Murakami is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Hawtry yanks on the arm and Murakami is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Hawtry.
