Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Luciano Vargas (ranked 8263 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bad Idea (ranked 6265 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Luciano Vargas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bad Idea!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vargas blocks the body kick.
Vargas dodges the punch combination from Idea.
Bad Idea seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Idea closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Vargas to the mat! Vargas manages to get full guard.
Vargas is trying to control the position but Idea postures up.
Vargas knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Idea on the ground.

Idea is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Idea with a nice head shot there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Idea wants to stand but Vargas has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Idea loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Idea preventing the sweep.
Idea tries to stand but Vargas is controlling from the bottom.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Idea throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Vargas tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Idea is in Vargas's guard.
Vargas pulls Idea in close to prevent any damage.
Idea not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Idea stands up over Vargas, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Vargas has a closed guard, preventing Idea from standing up.
Idea stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vargas swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Idea stopping the sweep attempt from Vargas.
Vargas is adopting a defensive guard.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Vargas gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Idea to score an easy takedown into full guard.

It looks like Idea might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Idea has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Vargas is proving hard to escape from.
Vargas trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Vargas is trying to control the position but Idea postures up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Idea controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Idea throwing strikes but missing.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Vargas tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bad Idea dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Vargas shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Idea defends it nicely.
Idea shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Idea has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Vargas defend it? Idea steps over the head and cranks it - Vargas is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Idea!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Bad Idea!
