0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steven Jacobs! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Steve Montenegro and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Biggs shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Biggs working for a submission but Jacobs is keeping him at bay. Biggs working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Biggs looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Biggs looking for a guillotine from mount but Jacobs is having none of it. Jacobs really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Jacobs might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Biggs kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Jacobs is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Biggs prevents Jacobs from getting the reversal. Biggs swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Jacobs is now in Biggs's guard. A big mistake from Biggs there, giving up the dominant position! Jacobs controls from within his opponent's guard. Biggs looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jacobs looking to pass the guard. Jacobs tries to stand but Biggs is controlling from the bottom. Biggs keeping moving, preventing Jacobs from controlling successfully. Biggs working for a triangle but Jacobs defends it easily.

Jacobs's corner is telling him to maintain position. Jacobs really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Biggs. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Biggs escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jacobs gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Jacobs stands and steps away. Biggs gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Jacobs gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Biggs counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jacobs! Biggs working for a guillotine from mount but Jacobs is in no mood to give up. Jacobs is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jacobs is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Biggs locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Jacobs is forced to tap!
