Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Henrique Gusmao (ranked 6689 p4p, 497 weight class) and Anthony Brooks (ranked 8264 p4p, 535 weight class). Brooks has chosen No Problem as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooks has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Gusmao keeps the fight on the outside.
A quick step to the side and Gusmao tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gusmao looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Brooks needs to keep his hands up - Gusmao had a free shot at his head there.

Brooks tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Brooks darts in and clinches Gusmao up against the cage.
Brooks stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Brooks is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Gusmao defends well.
Gusmao has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Brooks escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gusmao gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Brooks takes one to the chin there.
Gusmao moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Brooks wants to clinch up but Gusmao keeps it at a distance.

Gusmao drops Brooks with a straight right hand, right on the button! Gusmao follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
