Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joe Bone (ranked 688 p4p, 104 weight class) and Second Fist (ranked 1374 p4p, 188 weight class). Bone comes to the cage accompanied by You'll Never Walk Alone. The crowd seem to be enjoying Fist's choice of entrance music: Deftones - Feiticeira. Joe Bone has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
26 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Bone! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 7 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Second Fist! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bone throws a big shot that misses. Fist looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Fist is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bone. A cross from Bone lands. A leg kick checked by Bone. Bone looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Bone scores with a jab. Fist acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Fist's coach down at was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Fist's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Bone takes a jab right on the kisser.
Bone misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Fist.
Fist uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Bone. Bone has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Martial Arts Dojo in the buildup to the fight. Bone scores with a nice right hand.
Bone throws a big shot that misses. Fist throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bone stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Bone scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. and Fist cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Bone throws a lazy right hand but Fist sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Bone takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Fist lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Bone at a distance.
Fist moves out of range as Bone strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bone shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Fist is trying to defend but Bone finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Fist wants to control but Bone is keeping busy and won't allow it. Fist gets back to full guard.
Fist looking for a sweep. Not yet Fist, not yet. Bone is looking to advance position but Fist has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Bone bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Bone controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bone wants to control from the top but Fist keeps moving. Bone pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Fist is keeping the position for now. Fist is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Fist can't keep his opponent in guard - Bone advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. The fighters are battling for position here. Fist manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Bone wants to control from the top but Fist keeps moving. Bone tries to free his leg and advance position but Fist is retaining full guard. Fist is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Bone thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Fist is looking for a triangle here but Bone uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Bone postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Fist is looking for a sweep. Bone tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bone has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Fist manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Fist tries to pass the half guard into mount. Bone knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Bone is pressing down on Fist's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bone stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Bone misses with a straight right. Bone misses with a looping right. Fist missing with a left hand there. Bone was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. It looked like Bone wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Fist cracks Bone with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Bone throws a hook to the side of Fist's head but Fist sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Fist let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Bone chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Fist can pounce on him.
Bone scores with a decent looking hook. Fist takes a body punch but keeps moving. Bone throws a body punch but Fist moves out of range. Bone lunges at Fist with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Fist's hand. Bone misses with a takedown attempt - Fist sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Bone throws a body punch but Fist moves out of range. Bone throws a nice inside leg kick. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bone is looking to slow Fist down with leg kicks. Bone fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fist manages to avoid it. Joe Bone is winning the standup battle so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bone throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Fist lands with a right hand. Fist misses with a wild body shot. Fist wants to clinch up but Bone keeps it at a distance. Fist throws a shot from downtown. Bone moves away and avoids it. Bone misses the shot to the body. Fist looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Bone is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Fist. Fist defending well as Bone loads up on a big left hand. Bone throws a body shot but no joy. Nice uppercut there from Bone. Bone throws out a leg kick but Fist moves out of range and Bone only half commits. Fist throws out a counter right but Bone avoids it with no problem. Bone throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Fist throws a body punch but Bone moves out of range. Fist waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Bone. Bone swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. The fighters circling - Bone throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jab, jab by Fist - just one landing. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Fist throws out a powerful jab. Fist gets in close and instigates a clinch. Bone misses with the head strike.

Bone scores with an uppercut up the middle. Bone misses with a hook to the ribs.
Fist breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

letting Bone counter with a right hand. Bone is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Fist can do to turn this around? Fist takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Fist is looking to slow Bone down with leg kicks. The fight moves into the clinch position. Fist blocks an uppercut.

That's three minutes gone in the round. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Bone. Fist misses with some punches.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Fist. Bone goes for a takedown attempt but Fist pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Bone misses with a looping right. Bone backing away here, and Fist unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Bone takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Fist throws a lazy right hand but Bone sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Bone throws a body punch but Fist moves out of range. Fist was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Fist misses with a hook. Bone ducked under it nicely. Nice straight punches there by Bone. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Bone. Bone jabbing away but nothing is landing. Fist works the jab nicely. Fist throws a big shot that misses. Bone misses with an uppercut. Bone lunges at Fist with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Fist's hand. Fist throws a body punch but Bone moves out of range. Bone was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Fist lands with a nice body punch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Fist on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Fist tries to clinch but Bone moves out of range. Bone misses the shot to the body. Fist misses with a body kick. Fist looks to score with a jab to the body but Bone is just out of range. Fist throws a right and a left that both miss. Bone moves out of range of the strikes. Bone misses with an uppercut. Fist saw that one coming. Bone clobbers Fist with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Bone lands a nice shot to the body.
Bone bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. It looked like Bone wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Fist throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bone fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Fist has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Fist drops his hands momentarily and Bone takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bone misses with a body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Joe Bone will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Joe Bone has scored more points in the clinch so far. Bone digs a right hand underneath Fist's ribcage. Fist let out a lung full of air as it connected. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bone turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Bone is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Fist has escaped the position, nice work there. Fist is looking for a sweep. Bone looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Bone has control of an arm but Fist manages to advance to Bone's back!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bone is having to fend off submission attempts from Fist, who is looking to sink in the choke. Fist doesn't have the hooks in though and Bone manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard. Fist throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fist wants to get back to full guard. Fist gets full guard. Joe Bone is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Fist looking for a guillotine here but Bone defends easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Joe Bone showed his dominance in that final round. Well Bone has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
