Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Colin McLauhglin (ranked 1187 p4p, 35 weight class) and Ivan Drago (ranked 982 p4p, 27 weight class). Drago has chosen Drago as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Colin McLauhglin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 13 - 2, fighting out of New York, Ivan Drago! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McLauhglin ducks under a wild hook from Drago. As Drago looks to move away, McLauhglin throws a big counter combo but Drago just gets out of the way. Drago lands a nice looking body shot.

It looks like Colin McLauhglin has been cut. McLauhglin connects with a body shot. McLauhglin steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Drago. McLauhglin tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Drago manages to circle out of the way. Drago looks to land a combination but McLauhglin avoids it well. It looked like McLauhglin was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Drago. Drago lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McLauhglin circles away quickly and effectively. Drago fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Drago looks to land a combination but McLauhglin avoids it well. McLauhglin was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Drago throws a series of punches but McLauhglin moves out of range. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! McLauhglin throws the left hand but Drago avoids the punch easily. A little jabbing left from Drago on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. McLauhglin scores with a nice head shot.
It looks like Ivan Drago has been cut. McLauhglin connects with a right hand. Drago shakes it off. McLauhglin avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. McLauhglin fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Drago fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches McLauhglin on the side of the head. Ivan Drago is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. McLauhglin lands a big shot that drops Drago! Can he finish him?

Drago is rocked! McLauhglin throwing strikes but missing. This has been an exciting period of action! Drago is adopting a defensive guard. McLauhglin throws a big elbow that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McLauhglin prevents Drago from getting back to his feet. McLauhglin throws a strike but Drago rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. McLauhglin looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Drago has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of McLauhglin is proving hard to escape from. Drago stopping the sweep attempt from McLauhglin. Drago controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. McLauhglin has a closed guard, preventing Drago from standing up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Drago stays in close to McLauhglin's body and controls the position. Drago wanted to stand there but McLauhglin had control of the position. McLauhglin tries to land a sweep but no joy. McLauhglin looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Drago is pushing down on McLauhglin's leg trying to pass to half guard. McLauhglin is fighting to maintain full guard but Drago has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McLauhglin is looking to improve his position.
McLauhglin moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Drago stands up out of McLauhglin's guard for a moment - McLauhglin manages to land a nice upkick. Drago gets to his feet - McLauhglin follows without any prompting. Drago scores with a punch to the head. Drago lands an overhand right. McLauhglin lands a nice shot to the body.
Drago is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by McLauhglin. Drago misses with a hook to the body
and McLauhglin counters with a head kick that drops Drago! Drago is still in real trouble! Can McLauhglin finish him? The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McLauhglin with a flurry of punches that miss. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McLauhglin gets to his feet and stands over Drago, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Drago felt that one! McLauhglin unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Drago from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Colin McLauhglin! Colin McLauhglin was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed. In defeat, Ivan Drago stepped up to the mic, saying '"He's not human, he's like a piece of iron."'.
