Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Child (ranked 2004 p4p, 267 weight class) and AG Pennypacker (ranked 2614 p4p, 329 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Child might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to VooDoo . Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 10 - 1, fighting out of New York, Marcus Child! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, AG Pennypacker! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Child takes a body punch but keeps moving. AG Pennypacker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pennypacker fails with the takedown and Child counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Child lands a jab to the head.
Child fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Pennypacker. Pennypacker throws a combination. Child tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Child throws a body shot but no joy. Pennypacker's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Pennypacker duly obliges.
It looks like Marcus Child has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Child swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Child has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Lovelair Muay Thai/MMA in the buildup to the fight. Pennypacker throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Child. The fight stays on the outside here - Pennypacker looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Child throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Pennypacker on the side of the head. Child lands the left hand. The fighters circle momentarily. Pennypacker darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Child is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Child connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Child keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's one minute gone in the round. Child misses with a lunging right hand
and Pennypacker counters with a straight right hand. Pennypacker bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Child can't do much from the bottom here. Child tries to get back to half guard but can't. Pennypacker is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Child looks calm but he's in trouble here. Pennypacker gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Child is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Pennypacker lets go of the hold and Child can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). AG Pennypacker! AG Pennypacker decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
