Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mark Markus (ranked 6174 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladymir Mravciak (ranked 24238 p4p, 0 weight class). Mravciak has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Vladymir Mravciak will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Vladymir Mravciak! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Andrew Berry and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Markus will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Mravciak looks winded! Markus is trying hard to land a takedown here. Mravciak sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Mravciak is looking to clinch but Markus is avoiding it.
Markus throws a big counter combination but Mravciak scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Vladymir Mravciak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Markus instigates a clinch. Markus wants to get back to striking at distance but Mravciak won't allow it.
Mravciak drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

A short left from Markus. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mravciak looking to slow down the pace here. A frustrated look appears on Markus's face as he tries to break the clinch. Markus manages to pull guard.
Markus lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Markus decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. The fight moves into the clinch position. Markus just leaning against Mravciak, taking a breather. Markus softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Markus breaks the clinch.
Markus scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Mravciak wants to stand back up but Markus manages to pass into side control.
Markus passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Mravciak!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Markus sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Mravciak defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Markus. Markus punching from mount but Mravciak doing a good job of avoiding damage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Markus controlling from the full mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mravciak is trying to stand. Markus is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Mravciak is surviving well by controlling Markus's body position as best he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Markus gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Markus has managed to clinch.
Markus gets control of Mravciak's arms and successfully pulls guard. Markus will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Markus wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Markus tries to land a sweep but no joy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Markus pulls Mravciak in close to prevent any damage. Mravciak really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Markus. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Markus has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Mravciak is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Still in the clinch, Markus scores with a nice short uppercut. Markus ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Markus no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Markus pushes Mravciak off and scrambles back to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Markus fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Mravciak on the side of the head. Markus rushes Mravciak and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Markus tries to break the clinch but Mravciak is controlling the position. Markus wants to break the clinch but can't.

Markus fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Markus pushes Mravciak up against the cage in a clinch. Markus jumps guard and drags Mravciak to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Markus controlling Mravciak's posture. Markus lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Mravciak is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Mravciak is breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Markus looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mravciak utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Markus slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Markus working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Markus postures up in Mravciak's guard and throws a big left but Mravciak blocks it.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Markus will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Markus throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Mravciak tries to keep at a distance but Markus has taken the fight into the clinch. Markus manages to break the clinch.
Markus closes the distance and clinches.

Mravciak has Markus pressed against the cage, preventing Markus from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Mravciak trying to land knees to the body.
Markus has had enough of the clinch but Mravciak keeps him there for the moment. Markus controlling the action here for a moment.
Markus wants to take the fight to the mat but Mravciak manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Markus. That's going to take a lot out of him. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Markus pulls guard. Mark Markus overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Markus lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Markus advances position into side control! Markus is trying to get an arm triangle but Mravciak is defending well. Markus is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Markus throwing shots but missing, from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Markus dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!
Markus throws a right and a left that both miss. Markus is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mravciak can do to turn this around? Markus clinches up against the cage. Mravciak looking to stall.
Mravciak gets underhooks to prevent Markus's takedown attempt.
Markus lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Mravciak backwards. Markus pulls guard effortlessly. Markus manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mravciak manages to get himself to full guard.
Markus gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Mravciak takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Markus closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Markus stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
That's one minute gone in the round. Markus shoots for a takedown but Mravciak saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Markus lands a jab-cross combination. Markus shoots in for a double leg but Mravciak sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Markus. That's going to take a lot out of him. Markus darts in and clinches Mravciak up against the cage. Markus breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Markus tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Mravciak fails with an attempt to clinch.
Markus swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Markus instigates a clinch. Markus pulls guard. Mravciak stands up from Markus's guard - Mravciak perhaps looking for a knockout. Markus swats away the attempt to clinch by Mravciak. Markus is looking for a counter combo.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fight stays on the outside here - Mravciak looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Mark Markus is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Markus stuns Mravciak with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Mravciak tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Markus paws at him with a jab and circles away. Markus appears to be looking for a big counter. Markus shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mravciak as he jumps to the side. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Markus darts in and clinches Mravciak up against the cage. Mravciak throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Markus blocks it with crossed arms.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Mark Markus has scored more points in the clinch so far. Mravciak misses with a knee strike.

As Mravciak looks to move away, Markus throws a big counter combo but Mravciak just gets out of the way. Markus swats away the attempt to clinch by Mravciak. Mravciak tries to close the distance and clinch up but Markus swats him away and circles back towards the center. Markus scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Markus darts in looking for a takedown but Mravciak gets double underhooks and turns Markus into the cage. Mravciak lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. The fight stays on the outside here - Mravciak looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Mark Markus is winning the standup battle so far. Markus takes the fight into the clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! Mark Markus showed his dominance in that final round. Well Markus has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
