Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Baron Geisler (ranked 2266 p4p, 301 weight class) and Tumleh Schmitt (ranked 1998 p4p, 272 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Tumleh Schmitt enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Baron Geisler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Tumleh Schmitt!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schmitt fails with the takedown.
Schmitt uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Geisler.
Schmitt doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Geisler counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Schmitt shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Geisler napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Geisler is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Schmitt is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Schmitt sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Geisler wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Schmitt.
Geisler avoids a strike by Schmitt and manages to complete a very nice reversal in the process, to end up in Schmitt's guard! Fantastic escape!
Geisler stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Schmitt swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Geisler seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Schmitt bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Geisler's guard.

Geisler ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Schmitt moves away.
Schmitt fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Schmitt closes this distance looking for a takedown but Geisler circles away.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Geisler feints and then cracks Schmitt's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Schmitt down.

and Geisler counters with a nice uppercut.

Geisler throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Schmitt's head.
Schmitt drops his hands momentarily and Geisler takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Geisler is looking to slow Schmitt down with leg kicks.
Geisler swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Schmitt counters with a nice kick to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nice takedown defense from Geisler. No joy for Schmitt on that attempt.

Geisler wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Schmitt shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Schmitt tries to close the distance and clinch but Geisler swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Geisler looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Schmitt shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Geisler pinned against the cage. Geisler gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Schmitt tries to clinch but Geisler is having none of it.

We've been told by Geisler's head coaches at Thomas Top Team that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Geisler swats away the attempt to clinch by Schmitt.

Schmitt stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Geisler.

Geisler fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Schmitt on the side of the head.
Geisler swings for the body but Schmitt moves out of range.
Schmitt on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Geisler leaves Schmitt with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Schmitt shoots for a takedown but Geisler saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Schmitt dives in for a single leg takedown but Geisler sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Schmitt drives through with a takedown into Geisler's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Schmitt is fighting to break Geisler's control of his arms but Geisler is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Geisler, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
