Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Meadows (ranked 22152 p4p, 217 weight class) and Lucio Francisco Carmo (ranked 4620 p4p, 144 weight class). Carmo has chosen Rolling Stones - Paint it, Black as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shane Meadows! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lucio Francisco Carmo! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Wagner Zegers and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carmo swats away the attempt to clinch by Meadows. Nice body punch from Carmo. Good shot there by Carmo.
It looks like Shane Meadows has been cut. Oh, that's a big right hand from Carmo and Meadows goes tumbling to the canvas! Carmo follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
Meadows is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Carmo passes to side control. Oh Meadows is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! You can see the frustration on Meadows's face as Carmo controls the position. Meadows seems to have got his legs back now. Meadows tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Carmo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Carmo misses with the ground and pound. Meadows struggling a bit here. Meadows is being controlled here. Meadows on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Meadows tries to get out of the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carmo tries to advance to mount but can't. A lull in the action here. Carmo in side control, throwing shots but Meadows defends. Carmo tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Meadows knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Carmo on the ground. Carmo working away. Meadows is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Carmo trying to control the position but Meadows is working away. Carmo just content to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Meadows struggling a bit here. Carmo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Meadows keeps working. Carmo postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Carmo is looking to take a break and control but Meadows is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Meadows struggling a bit here. Carmo is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Meadows knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. An elbow from Carmo crashes against the mat.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Meadows is not content to let Carmo control the position. Carmo misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Carmo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Carmo trying to control the position but Meadows is working away. You can see the frustration on Meadows's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Meadows manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Meadows not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lucio Francisco Carmo dominated that round. The cut man is working on Shane Meadows's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Meadows wants to clinch up but Carmo keeps it at a distance. Carmo misses with a hook. Meadows ducked under it nicely. Meadows swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Nice combo by Carmo! Oh, that's hurt him - Meadows falls to the canvas and Carmo follows him into side control. Carmo advances to mount. Carmo looking to finish with strikes here!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Meadows tries to hold on but Carmo pushes him away. Carmo working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Meadows tries to lock up and control but Carmo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Carmo controlling the pace for now. Carmo is continuing to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carmo throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Carmo controlling from mount. Carmo tries to control but Meadows wriggling away. Meadows wants to hold on but Carmo pushes him away. Carmo throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Meadows tries to hold on but Carmo pushes him away. Poor strikes thrown by Carmo there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Carmo postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Meadows looks a forlorn figure.
Lucio Francisco Carmo has got the better of the ground game so far. Meadows tries to hold on but Carmo postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Meadows is bucking up trying to escape but Carmo cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Meadows is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carmo with shots to the head and body - Meadows looks very uncomfortable down there. Carmo is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Carmo!
