Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Solomon Dale (ranked 6246 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Kenneday (ranked 6244 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Solomon Dale!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Kenneday!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Dale enables Kenneday to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Dale manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Dale controls Kenneday momentarily but Kenneday frees himself.
Dale knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kenneday on the ground.

Kenneday thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Kenneday throws a big elbow that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dale looking to control.
Dale working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kenneday.
Dale trying to keep a closed guard but Kenneday is proving a slippery customer.
Kenneday passes Dale's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Dale has his hands clasped together around Kenneday's back. He's all about the action.
Dale is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Kenneday stalling.
Kenneday's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Kenneday tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Kenneday takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Dale is trying to control but can't.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Dale keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Dale could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Kenneday shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dale's guard.
Dale looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Kenneday trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Dale looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Kenneday puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Kenneday slows the pace down in half guard.
Kenneday lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Kenneday is working for a submission of some sort.
Kenneday is controlling the pace.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kenneday looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Dale with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Dale is trying to control but Kenneday passes into side control!
Check out the look on Kenneday's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Kenneday scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Dale to see if he's OK.
Kenneday fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Kenneday has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Kenneday decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Dale moves forwards but Kenneday connects with a nice, crisp jab.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Kenneday gets a double leg takedown into Dale's guard.
Kenneday wants to get up but he can't break Dale's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Kenneday content to stall in guard here.
Dale really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...
Kenneday passes into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dale is concentrating on defense, preventing Kenneday from advancing position.
And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Kenneday dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Kenneday has Dale up against the cage in a clinch.
Kenneday wants to break the clinch but can't.
Dale tries to pull guard but Kenneday won't allow it.

Kenneday has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Dale is trying to keep an underhook but Kenneday manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Dale trying to control but Kenneday postures up.
Kenneday wants to free his trapped foot but Dale is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Dale might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dale trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Dale wants to hold on but Kenneday pushes him away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dale is trying to escape the mount.
Dale wants to hold on but Kenneday pushes him away.
Kenneday working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Dale wants to control but Kenneday is having none of it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Dale slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Kenneday is taking a breather. Dale says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Kenneday is trying to work for a kimura but Dale is defending well.

Kenneday is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Kenneday is trying for a kimura here. Dale looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Kenneday wins by kimura!
